In addition to the memory overclocking optimized alignment and 2DIMMs slots, the board also has 18(110A)+2(80A)+2 phases power supply and 10-Layer PCB, etc. In addition to the all-white color, it is cheaper than the competitors, which is really appealing to AMD overclocking enthusiasts. This time, I have also successfully overclocked two memory modules (Dual-channel mode) to DDR5 10070 MT/s, as well as 6000 MT/s CL24 and 8000 MT/s CL30 with low CL value.

GIGABYTE X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE Motherboard Specifications.

Size: E-ATX 30.5 x 27.5 cm
Processor Support: AMD Ryzen 9000 / 8000 / 7000
Processor Pin: AM5 LGA1718
CPU supply phase: 18(110A)+2(80A)+2 phases
Chipset: AMD X870
Memory: 2x DDR5 DIMMs slots, 9600(O.C.) GIGABYTE X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE Unboxed

Considering that I personally want to open the box for review, overclocking, and a member of the light white army, AMD AM5 feet, white PCB appearance, E-ATX, 2DIMMs memory overclocking optimized model, the above conditions are the author's personal requirements for selecting the perfect motherboard, and the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE meets all these requirements perfectly, and when I was told that this motherboard might come out of the market, I decided that it was the right one. When I learned that this motherboard might be released, I decided that it was the right one! To paraphrase a friend's mantra, "How to lose, the advantage is mine, I don't see the possibility of losing!

The first time I learned about the GIGABYTE AM5 TACHYON motherboard was the B650E AORUS TACHYON, but unfortunately it wasn't available in Taiwan at the time and was only available on Amazon, but considering Amazon's popularity and remembering the previous idiot customer service experience, I didn't buy the B650E AORUS TACHYON later, and then heard that GIGABYTE was planning to launch a new generation of AM5 AORUS TACHYON motherboards. Then I heard that GIGABYTE was planning to launch a new generation of AM5 AORUS TACHYON motherboards, so I was looking forward to the mass production and sales! So I've been looking forward to the mass production and sale of these motherboards for a while now.

Originally, I heard that the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE would be better than the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE. Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE The X870 was shelved all the way to the present, and in January this year, the Australian overclocking team working with GIGABYTE uploaded the overclocking results of this motherboard, which was thought to be almost ready for production, but there was no word on it.

As a result, HiCookie finally said in a video interview with G.Skill staff at Computex 2025 - Giga's 9th World Cup Overclocking Championship that "it will be mass-produced within two months after Computex". Since then, I have been following up with the distributor and purchased the product as soon as it was available, so I won't miss it this time!

∆ HiCookie finally said at Computex 2025 that it would not hold back any longer, and that it would be in mass production within two months!

∆ Contemporary GIGABYTE's latest version of the AORUS TACHYON model is a great collection: the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE,Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE。

∆ Both AORUS TACHYON ICE are white PCB appearance, E-ATX, 2DIMMs memory overclocking model motherboards, for my personal preference How to lose?

After three seasons and almost a year of production, the ∆ is finally out, but I don't have an Eagle model to pretend to be the 8th first.

The GIGABYTE X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE motherboard is GIGABYTE's second 1DPC (1DIMM Per channel) memory overclocking board for the AMD AM5 foot print. This generation of the X870 chipset actually has the same total number of channels as the previous generation of the B650E chipset, but this generation of the X870 splits some of the channels for USB 4 use.

The TACHYON series is a line of motherboards designed specifically for overclockers who are pushing performance boundaries and setting world records. With its carefully crafted VRM specification, specially optimized memory layout and multiple overclocking control buttons, this motherboard allows overclockers to fully utilize the potential of the latest generation of AMD AM5 Ryzen processors.

Looking at the current mass production and sales of our SKUs, their power supply and PCB specifications are more favorable than the X870E AORUS MASTER Also to high-end, pricing and specifications second only to the X870E AORUS XTREME AI TOP, TACHYON ICE power supply specifications and XTREME AI TOP is the same; PCB specifications TACHYON ICE is slightly better, in short, TACHYON ICE is currently standing firmly in the sub-flagship of the positioning of the point of no doubt, but in terms of expandability is certainly not as strong as the MASTER and XTREME AI TOP so strong. MASTER and XTREME AI TOP so strong, each has its own customer demand according to the need to choose.

The X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE is priced at NT$20,990 in Taiwan outlets; the previous Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE The X870/X870E 1DPC memory overclocking model motherboards of the same generation can only be compared to the GIGABYTE APEX (23990), and GIGABYTE is even cheaper than GIGABYTE by 3,000 dollars. However, GIGABYTE has the advantage of the X870E chipset expansion, and ASRock's X870E OCF and the Little Lizard B850MPOWER have not yet been mass-produced and sold. ASRock X870E OCF and Little Lizard B850MPOWER have not yet been mass produced and sold, so I will not include them in this discussion as there is no way to know their specifications and prices.

Motherboard accessories include: CPU overclocking backplane, noise detection cable, two temperature sensing cables, G Connector front I/O integration clips, three M.2 spare cooling 10-Layer PCB.

The overall appearance of the motherboard is all white, with silver-white aluminum heatsinks and reflective AORUS logo decorations, along with the embellished bottom white PCB and various slots, making the all-white PC army can only say, "It's really beautiful! GIGABYTE has always been very attentive to white motherboards, such as the previous unboxing of the Z790 AORUS PRO X It is because of the beautiful appearance that attracted the author's interest, X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE in many gamers will care about the Memory UD Slot D5 memory slot, both inside and outside the slot or memory card buckle and other small places are silver white treatment, the whole white details are very well handled, unlike some competitors silver white to do a half a set of slots or black.

This motherboard is designed for "LN2 Liquid Nitrogen (Liquid Nitrogen) Extreme Overclocking Gamers", so most of the design is in line with the X870E AORUS MASTER This regular motherboard is going in a different direction in that the "utility" it seeks is the extreme overclocking of the LN2 rather than the everyday use of the chassis, so personally I'm analyzing this board from a slightly different perspective than I normally would.

One of the most intuitive features of this generation of Z890 and X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE is that the CPU socket blocks, memory slots, and VRM power blocks are rotated 90° to the left, the same concept as the previous EVGA Kingpin series motherboards.

The motherboard size is 30.5 x 27.5 cm for E-ATX, so if you want to put it into a chassis, just pay attention to whether or not the chassis supports E-ATX motherboards. However, the people who bought this board should use it with a bare test stand or put it on their desktops, so they shouldn't need to worry about the chassis compatibility issue.

<a Whether or not the profile can operate at such a high frequency of 9600 MT/s under "CKD Bypass" is quite a test of the platform's overclocking capability.

If you really want to use high-frequency CKD (Bypass Mode) memory on the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE, it is recommended to use it with Ryzen 8000 series processors first, while Ryzen 7000 / 9000 series processors are recommended to use it with regular UDIMM.

The official website boasts the use of a 10-Layer server-grade PCB circuit board, which is claimed to minimize signal loss to ensure the integrity of DDR5 memory signals, and a memory anti-interference mask, which is built-in to protect the memory signals from external signal interference and keep the system running stably.

∆ 2x Un-buffered DIMMs DDR5 memory slots, UDIMM compatible, supports up to 128 GB capacity expansion, up to 9600 MT/s (O.C.) with QVL on both modules.

On the top right corner of the motherboard, there are two 4-Pin fan power slots, CPU_OPT and CPU_FAN, and one 12V 4-Pin RGB and one 5V 3-Pin ARGB_V2 slot.

∆ CPU_OPT, CPU_FAN, 12V 4-Pin RGB, 5V 3-Pin ARGB_V2 slots.

On the right side of the motherboard, there are: Clear CMOS Data button, RTY Cold Start Retry button, RESET Reboot button, PWR Power button, ECLK+ External Frequency Boost button, ECLK- External Frequency Downconversion button, DeBug lamp, Multimeter Voltage Measurement Points, Built-in Display HDMI 1.4 Display Output Ports, a Front USB 20Gbps Type-C Slot, and a Front USB 2.5Gbps Type-C Slot. 20Gbps Type-C slot.

The debugging light code display allows users to quickly check what parts of the motherboard are causing problems during the self-testing process, and users can refer to the motherboard manual for debugging actions.

The RTY Cold Start Retry button is also labeled as a RST (MULTIKEY) multifunction button in the official website, which can be reset to other functions in the BIOS, and is used for various purposes such as RGB switch (to turn off all lighting effects on the motherboard), direct access to the BIOS (direct access to the BIOS setup without keyboard input), Safe Mode (to enter BIOS), and RST (to modify specific options but retain other BIOS setups). Safe Mode (enter BIOS to modify specific options, but retain other BIOS settings), but the problem is that in the official F4b version of the BIOS, I don't see the RST_SW (MULTIKEY) setting in the Miscellaneous section of Settings, which means there is only the reboot function, but no way to set other functions.

Clear CMOS Data Button: It can be used when the system reboots after an overclocking failure, and then the system is stuck in BIOS. The upper M2D_SB supports only PCIe Gen4 x2 bandwidth, while the lower M2M_SB supports the full PCIe Gen4 x4 bandwidth, and both slots only support 22110 and 2280 sizes.

<a If multiple graphics cards are used to run Cinebench 2024 tests, the software utilizes multiple cards for the rendering tests at the same time, and Cinebench 2024 performs multiple rendering tests with six times the amount of computation when compared to Cinebench R23. Compared to Cinebench R23, the Cinebench 2024 multi-threaded rendering tests show a six-fold increase in the amount of computation for scenes. Currently, the only AM5 800 series chipset 1DPC overclocking motherboard that has been officially mass-produced and sold is the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE, which is cheaper than the AORUS TACHYON ICE by 3,000 dollars. However, when it comes to the expandability of M.2 SSDs, the X870E APEX has a channel advantage over the X870E chipset, so the APEX can install more M.2 SSDs. But in terms of M.2 SSD expandability, the X870E APEX has the X870E chipset channel advantage, so the APEX can install more M.2 SSDs, but who cares about expandability for overclockers? Three M.2 SSD expansion slots are already enough for a hybrid gamer like me, who does a lot of overclocking as well as open-box testing.

All in all, this GIGABYTE X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE motherboard is suitable for Overclocking (O.C.) overclocking enthusiasts, and the planning and design are all arranged for LN2 overclocking, with a 10-layer PCB and memory alignment optimization, which has brought about better overclocking compatibility with 8000 MT/s or higher frequency memories. However, the official version of the BIOS is relatively conservative in terms of DRAM VDD / VDDQ and VDDIO voltage limits, which may be a concern for daily use, but as an overclocking enthusiast, I still hope that this part of the voltage can be unlocked, so as to open up more overclocking limit possibilities.

GIGABYTE's first AM5 memory overclocking specialization X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE motherboard for sale in Taiwan is finally in mass production! When I found out that this motherboard might come out, I decided that it would be the one! To paraphrase a friend's mantra, "How to lose, I can't see the possibility of losing". The first time I learned about the GIGABYTE AM5 TACHYON motherboard was the B650E AORUS TACHYON, but unfortunately it wasn't available in Taiwan at the time and was only available on Amazon, but considering Amazon's reviews and remembering the previous idiotic customer service experience, I didn't buy the B650E AORUS TACHYON afterward, and then heard that GIGABYTE was planning on launching a new generation of AM5 AORUS TACHYON motherboards. TACHYON motherboards, so the author is looking forward to the mass production and sale! It's been almost nine months since then. Originally, I heard that the X870 AORUS TACHYON ICE would be released earlier than the Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE, and then the Z890 chipset came out first, and then the X870 was put on hold all the way up to the present, and then in January of this year, I saw that the Australian overclocking team that cooperated with GIGABYTE uploaded the overclocking results of this motherboard, and I originally thought it would be almost ready to be mass-produced. I thought it was almost ready for mass production, but there was no news. As a result, HiCookie finally said in a video interview with G.Skill staff at "Computex 2025 - Gigabyte 9th World Cup Overclocking Championships" that the board will be in mass production within two months after the computer show. Since then, I have been following up with the distributors and purchased the product as soon as it was available, so I won't miss it this time! ∆HiCookie is finally available at Comp...

[7
791,782,799,789,802,465,428,795,84,796,797,780,790,356,355,800,783,793,808,363,362,779,788,807,792,468,787,804,798,781,801,806,89,785,810,786,794,805,31,602,601,803,809,784
0":"post-6764","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"hentry","7":"category-motherboard","8":"tag-1dpc-","9":"tag-am5-","11":"tag-aorus-tachyon","12":"tag-ddr5-10000mt-s-","13":"tag-ddr5-","16":"tag-gigabyte","17":"tag-gigabyte-x870-aorus-tachyon-ice","18":"tag-gigabyte-x870-aorus-tachyon-ice-","19":"tag-gigabyte-","20":"tag-hicookie-","21":"tag-review","22":"tag-reviews","23":"tag-ryzen-9000-","25":"tag-ryzen-am5-","26":"tag-ryzen-","27":"tag-test","28":"tag-unboxing","29":"tag-x870-aorus-tachyon-ice","30":"tag-x870-","31":"tag-807","32":"tag-792","33":"tag-468","34":"tag-787","35":"tag--aorus-","36":"tag-798","37":"tag-781","38":"tag--ryzen-9000-","39":"tag--am5-","40":"tag-89","41":"tag-785","42":"tag-810","43":"tag-786","44":"tag-794","45":"tag-805","46":"tag-31","47":"tag-602","48":"tag-601","49":"tag-803","50":"tag-809","51":"tag-784
