class="ez-toc-section-end">

GIGABYTE debuted the Project STEALTH back-plug design solution at Computex 2022, where the Z690 AORUS ELITE STEALTH motherboard, GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8G STEALTH graphics card, and the AORUS C300G STEALTH case were on display at the physical booth. AORUS C300G STEALTH chassis, at that time, I was the first time to see this kind of back-plugging concept (I heard that it had been put forward a long time ago) on display, and at that time, I was quite looking forward to the mass production of this concept product! Later on, as chassis brands started to plan motherboards that support back-plug installation for their chassis products, the whole back-plug design ecosystem gradually became clearer, but GIGABYTE didn't start to mass produce and sell the GIGABYTE B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE until July 2024, but unfortunately I didn't have the chance to open the box at that time, and I would recommend that GIGABYTE will arrange interesting products for me to open the box at the first time in future. GIGABYTE will arrange interesting products for me to unbox.

The previous generation of B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboards not only featured the STEALTH backplane, but was also loved by gamers because of the large white design and the author's personal opinion that the price is not too expensive, but it is a pity that the memory slots on the B650E chipset models at that time were not whitened; this generation of X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE is the purest white motherboard. ICE is the purest all-white motherboard, from the motherboard body PCB, heatsinks to memory slots, every detail continues to be pure white design (in contrast, look at the competitor's small lizard and the appearance of the design of the ASUS, the half-white design is really very understandable), coupled with a relatively acceptable price to make this series of motherboards to become the market's first choice for the back of the motherboard, and it is good to see GIGABYTE did not put the back of the series on the XTREME or MASTER. It's a good thing that GIGABYTE didn't put the backplane series in the XTREME or MASTER series, which have a higher unit price, because if the STEALTH series was priced higher, the market probably wouldn't have responded so well.

The X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard utilizes an ATX 30.5 x 24.4 cm form factor, with 16+2+2 digital power supplies and 16-phase SPS 80A VCORE Phases powered by 8+8-phase parallel power supplies, while the PCB is a 6-Layer, six-layer form factor.

∆ ATX-sized X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE.

∆ GIGABYTE X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE Channel Configuration Diagram.

Because of the back-plug design, the X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard must be used with a chassis that supports ATX back-plug installation. Each of these software programs fits together to provide a complete visual solution for creators.

Cinebench 2024 uses Cinema 4D's default Redshift rendering engine to test GPU and CPU performance. If multiple graphics cards are used to run Cinebench 2024 tests, the software utilizes multiple cards for the rendering tests at the same time, and Cinebench 2024 performs multiple rendering tests with six times the amount of computation when compared to Cinebench R23. Compared to Cinebench R23, the Cinebench 2024 multi-threaded rendering tests show a six-fold increase in the amount of computation for scenes. In the past, when I encountered such a situation, I usually used to use my cell phone's USB connection to share the network in order to load the driver, while the DriverBIOS feature directly comes standard with the Wi-Fi 7 wireless network card function to make the process a lot more efficient, and it is recommended that all the board makers follow suit!

Compared to its predecessor, the X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE is more expensive, but it has better power supply specifications, one more M.2 Gen5 expansion slot (but shares bandwidth with USB 4), two more USB 4 Type-C interfaces, higher frequency memory QVL certifications, and so on, and the price change is relatively large, with the same number of channels as the B650E but with the addition of two USB 4 ports. With the addition of two USB 4 ports, the original price of the X870 chipset model has increased by about $3,000. If you want to keep your budget at the same level as the B650E, you can refer back to the B850 AORUS STEALTH ICE, and choose the chipset that you want based on the demand for expansion or appearance, but you should only look for a second-hand version of the B650E.

Some people may care that the AORUS STEALTH ICE has only 6 layers of PCB, but what is the purpose of having more PCBs for most people? The memory overclocking part of this motherboard has a maximum of 8200 MT/s compatibility certification, and the actual use of AVerMedia's XPG LANCER RGB DDR5 6000 MT/s CL28 is also a direct light test, basically there is nothing to pick on the AM5 platform is already enough, and the overclocking part of the processor really needs to be drilled down, it's me!
