The Z790 CARBON WIFI is a mainstream ATX size (30.5 x 24.4cm), and the cooling armor is slightly different from the previous generation Z690 CARBON, switching from pixel tech to linear dark tech, with matte-black cooling armor on the processor power supply, the Z790 PCH chipset, and all M.2 SSD slots. This ensures that the power supply and other chip-related components are not exposed to excessive temperatures during high-load operation, which can affect their performance and lifespan.

The exterior design of the ∆ Z790 CARBON WIFI has been changed.

It's a shame that there is no reinforced armor on the back of the ∆ motherboard, as the PCB tends to stick to your hands when you touch it.
With the launch of the 13th generation processors, various brands have also updated their motherboards with the Z790 chipset, and the Z790 motherboards also support Intel's LGA 1700 processors. Both the Z690 and Z790 motherboards are compatible with Intel's 12th and 13th generation processors, so it is up to you to buy whichever motherboard meets your needs. Therefore, you can buy whichever motherboard meets your needs without prioritizing which chipset to recommend.

The ∆ motherboard comes with a native onboard lighting block, and the rear I/O cover has a faith-based RGB dragon pattern.
Let's take a look at the Z790 CARBON WIFI expansion slots, which are 8+8 Pin processor ATX_12V power supply slots in the upper left corner of the motherboard.

Two 4-Pin fan slots, CPU_FAN on the left and PUMP_FAN on the right, are configured above the memory slots in the upper right corner of the motherboard. PUMP_FAN supports up to 3 Amp output and is compatible with all-in-one water-cooling headers, pumps, and other devices in addition to fan mounting.

∆ CPU_FAN, PUMP_FAN power supply slots are available in the upper right corner.
The Z790 CARBON WIFI is equipped with four dual-slot DDR5 memory slots that support the latest non-ECC DDR5 DIMM memory, which can be expanded up to a maximum of 32GB total 128GB of memory in a single slot, and the Z790 supports a higher memory overclocking frequency compared to the Z690, from 6666+ (OC) MHz to 7600+ (OC) MHz. MHz.
Currently, the mainstream will purchase a dual-channel memory kit, and it is recommended to prioritize the installation in slots A2 and B2 (the second and fourth slots counting from the left), so that the memory can operate at a higher frequency by installing the two memories in these two positions. In addition, the Z790 CARBON WIFI supports Intel XMP memory certification, and gamers can easily perform one-key overclocking of the memories by turning on XMP 3.0. The Z790 CARBON WIFI supports Intel XMP memory certification.
