MONTECH KING 65 PRO Chassis Unboxing
I've unboxed the MONTECH before. KING 95 Although the chassis has features such as curved glass and a side fan mounting bracket that can be painlessly changed to front intake, the price of the KING 95, unlike other models in the past, is higher than MONTECH's previous product line, which may not be so attractive to some consumers who are looking for a "price/performance ratio".
The KING 65 PRO is made with the same materials while maintaining the same internal expandability, but with some practical adjustments to get a better price, allowing consumers to get the same internals for a smaller budget.
The KING 65 PRO is only available in black and white, and the case itself measures 475 (L) x 300 (W) x 442 (H) mm, which is the same size as the KING 95 but with fewer color choices, and the glass on both sides has been changed to the usual right-angled form.
The ∆ KING 65 PRO measures 475 (L) x 300 (W) x 442 (H) mm and has a right-angled flat glass panel on both sides.
∆ Front Panel View Angle.
∆ White model with fully transparent tempered glass.
The ∆ glass pane is held in place by a rear hand screw with a toggle to open it and has a drop-proof design.
The in-line front I/O ports are basically the same as the KING 95, from top to bottom: power on, LED mode switching, microphone, headphones, 2x USB 3.0, USB Type-C, etc. The KING 95 is also equipped with an in-line front I/O port, which is the same as the KING 95.
∆ From top to bottom: power on, LED mode switching, microphone, headphones, 2x USB 3.0, USB Type-C.
The rear of the chassis supports 120 mm fans and water coolers, and there are seven PCIe mounting locations with removable baffles, using a common dual-compartment mounting structure. The left half of the chassis houses the manual drive cage mounting screws and the side power supply mounts.
The mounting positions of the power supply and the hard disk can be swapped up and down, which means that the power supply becomes on top; the hard disk is on the bottom, and I'm glad that Monarch didn't make a move in this area.

∆Bottom rear dust filter reduces dust intake from the bottom fan and can be washed for cleaning.
∆ The outer cover of the hard disk mounting cage is secured by hand screws.
∆The two composite hard drive mounting trays that can be pulled back when the switch is pressed can each hold a 2.5 / 3.5" hard drive, and the locking holes on the outside of the bracket can lock an additional 2.5" hard drive.
This time, KING 65 PRO uses a large-area dot mesh design on the metal side panel, which is not usually seen by anyone anyway, so it's more cost-effective to choose a practical design and save the cost of graphic design.
∆ Large-area dot-mesh metal panel.
Underneath the ∆ metal side panel is the cable compartment, which features a cable tray that holds two 2.5" hard drives, and 240 mm fan and water-cooling locking holes on the side.
∆ Fixing screws for the hide plate.
∆ Internal cable storage space display with devil's blanket harness and L-shaped power support bracket.
In addition to the internal cable storage space, there is also a fan hub that can be expanded with three additional ARGB / PWM fans.
∆ In addition to the three slots already utilized by the three fans included with the chassis, gamers can connect three additional ARGB / PWM fans for a total of six.
There is plenty of room for ∆ cabling, and the fan HUB requires additional SATA power cables.
∆ Chassis I/O and controller related cables.
The top cover of the chassis has also been replaced with a large mesh design, and the top of the chassis supports 360 / 280 mm fan and water cooler mounting. The fan mounting bracket is secured by four screws, which can be removed for easy mounting of the top water cooler or fan.
∆ Large mesh housing cover.
∆ Support 360 / 280 mm fan and water cooler installation on top of the chassis.
∆ After removing the screws you can remove the upper chassis bracket.
KING 65 PRO Chassis Hardware Installation Space Showcase
The KING 65 PRO supports ATX motherboards only and is backward compatible with Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, allowing for air cooling towers up to 175 mm and graphics cards up to 420 mm. However, if the side fan mounting bracket is switched to the front, the maximum graphics card mounting space is further reduced to 390 mm.
It supports up to nine fans: three at the top, three at the bottom, one at the back, and two at the sides. Three ARGB fans are included, the two 140 mm fans at the sides are reverse blades, and the 120 mm fan at the back is a regular forward blade.
∆ ATX motherboard, 420 mm graphics card, 175 mm cooling tower mounting space.
∆ The interior is fully whitened, with multiple fan cable routing holes and the accessory box strapped to the bottom.
∆ supports 360 / 280 mm fan mounting, because of the restricted direction of the locking hole machining the fan screws can only be locked with the long screws in the accessory box.
The ∆ side fan support retains the rotatable design, but the front panel of the KING 65 PRO is glass and can not be used for air intake, so if gamers want to show off a nice looking fan, then use it as a display.
The ∆ accessories are labeled separately in plastic bags, unlike the KING 95 series which comes in a box.
KING 65 PRO Actual Installation Demonstration
The actual installation of the KING 65 PRO was to replace the chassis of an elderly family member, who had a broken chassis and ported it to the 8700K and Z370 platforms, but since the platforms are very old, I won't be conducting any more cooling performance tests.
∆ Core Hardware Installation Demonstration.
∆ Power cable installation demonstration, the power supply supports 185 mm length, this time with Genesis 850 actual installation demonstration.
It is much tidier when the ∆ stash plate is covered.
Conclusion
The KING 65 PRO is an affordable version of the KING 95 series, removing some of the product's features and reverting back to MONTECH's previous strength: the "price/performance ratio", while maintaining the same hardware expansion and specifications, you can buy another KING 95 at a lower price, which is a good choice for consumers with budgetary considerations.
This is because some of the specifications are basically the same as KING 95 The chassis is the same, so I won't repeat the introduction, if you want to see more details, you can refer to the unboxing article. After I unboxed the KING 65 PRO, I think there is only one awkward place, that is, although the side fan bracket can be turned into a front fan, the KING 65 PRO doesn't provide a Mesh front mesh panel, so even if it is turned around, the front fan will only be left as a decoration. It's a shame that the front fan is only for decorative purposes, and I wonder if the front panel will be available as a replacement in the future.
