Bteam Specter Wireless Gaming Handle Unboxing
Bteam's Specter wireless gaming handle has two colors to choose from, "Shadow Gray" and "Cloudy White", in addition to selling the handle alone, there are also combinations of Sbase charging cradles, and the selling price of the single handle body is NT$1,599 on the official website, with one-year warranty for after-sales service.
I unboxed the Cloudy White color combination with the Sbase charging stand, but because the mushroom head of my XBOX handlebar started to drift before I unboxed it, which affected my gaming experience, I took it out to use it for a few days before I took photos of the Specter, which can wait for a while to be unboxed, but not to be used for gaming! Therefore, the mushroom head in the photo has some marks from the author's use, not brand new condition.
The contents of the single package include: 2.4 Ghz wireless receiver, USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable, and a cross button for fighting. The 2.4 Ghz wireless receiver is stored in the body of the handlebar by default, and you have to remove the outer casing to see the wireless receiver.

The size of Bteam Specter handle is 155 x 65 x 102 mm, the weight is 220 g on the official website, and 270 g on the box. I have only used ordinary XBOX wireless controllers before, and I haven't used Sony's or any other brand's handle, my personal hand is a little bit smaller than a teenage girl's or an adult woman's size, and I am accustomed to the six-finger grip. In comparison to the XBOX wireless controller, the Bteam Specter is a bit longer in length, and it takes a bit more stretching of the joints of the middle and forefingers of both hands to place the left and right L and R buttons.
The handle itself features 1000Hz return rate, 6-axis high-precision gyroscope, stereoscopic quad vibration, etc. It also supports cell phone APP advanced settings, which allows you to configure the key change configuration, launch control, joystick and trigger sensitivity, etc. via cell phone software.
As for the mushroom head joystick, unlike the common Carbon Film Joystick, the Specter Wireless Gaming Handle adopts the "Hall Joystick" which has a much longer lifespan. Through the change of magnetic field when the magnet moves and the reception of the sensor, it operates in a non-contact way to avoid the drifting problem caused by the wear and tear of the traditional Carbon Film Joystick. The non-contact operation prevents the traditional carbon film resistive joystick from drifting due to long time wear and tear, and the labeled life span is up to 5 million times, which is similar to the relative operation principle of the mechanical shaft and the magnetic shaft in terms of the mechanical keyboard.
In addition to the common layout of the frame key, Home key, and Setup key, there is an additional FN key, charging indicator, and Turbo key (T key) in the middle of the cross keys. It took me a while to get used to the oblique angle of the frame key and Home key, and I would press the wrong button just because of getting used to it.
It is equipped with four vibration motors, the strength of the vibration can be adjusted by long pressing the FN button and the up and down keys of the direction key, the default strength is 50% which can be additionally adjusted to 0% / 25% / 75% / 100%.
∆ Bteam Specter wireless gaming handle layout, with additional FN button, charging indicator, Turbo button (T button) in the middle of the arrow keys and the right mushroom head, the mushroom head is yellowed because the author has used it for a few days and it is not in brand new condition to take photos.
The ∆ has a measured weight of 267 g, includes a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver and replaces the cross button status measurements with those for combat.
∆ The handgrip palm print contact area is equipped with a triangular, three-dimensional pattern.
Handlebar vibration intensity adjustment can only be set in PC Bluetooth connection mode, but note that this function is only effective if the game also supports the vibration function of the board, and the board vibration and the vibration intensity of the handlebar will be synchronized, so just choose one of the two settings.
The eight frequently used function keys can be used to set the manual and automatic burst function. In the connected state, long press the function key to be set as a burst and then press the Turbo key to complete the manual burst setting; in the set manual burst key, long press the function key again and then press the second Turbo key to complete the automatic burst setting; if you want to adjust the number of bursts, long press the Turbo key and then up and down to set. To adjust the number of rounds, long press the Turbo key and then move the left mushroom head joystick to set, you can set it to 5 rounds, 15 rounds (default is 15), or 20 rounds at a time.
The Bteam Specter supports macro recording and can record up to 21 button macro combinations with Fn+ M1/M2 buttons.
There is a USB Type-C port between the LB and RB buttons for charging or wired connection, and a metal connector at the bottom of the back of the handle for charging the Sbase charging cradle. The official website states that the handle itself has a 30-hour battery life, and the indicator on the front of the handle will blink red to remind you when the handle's power is less than 25%, and the signal light will light up to indicate whether it's charging or not. The indicator light on the front will flash red when the battery is less than 25%, and the signal light will also light up when charging.
The RT and LT labels use a Hall trigger with a physical dual-mode switch on the back to switch between a throttle-like linear trigger or a short-range, quick-trigger mechanical key. The long-bar labeled linear trigger has a longer press stroke to trigger, while the short-bar labeled mechanical key has a shorter press stroke and a tighter feel, which triggers the key response more quickly when pressed.
The center power indicator and the X/Y/A/B button light up during ∆ operation.
∆Can be connected or charged using a USB Type-C cable.
On the back of the ∆ is the board's physical dual-mode switch and a metal charging contact for the charging cradle.
The Bteam Specter supports PC, Android phones, Apple phones and tablets, Nintendo Switch 1 / 2 and other platforms. Bteam Sbase Charging Cradle Unboxing
The Sbase charging cradle is a charging cradle for the Bteam Specter Wireless Handlebar, and the suggested price on the official website is only $260, but the official website information is a bit scarce compared to the handlebar, and you can only find out the dimensions of the Bteam Specter from the website, which is 116 x 78 x 69 mm, and the weight of the Bteam Specter is around 80 g. The Sbase charging cradle is also available on the official website, and it can be used as a charging cradle to charge a handlebar.

∆ Both will be constantly lit in red when the handle is placed for charging.
Conclusion
The Bteam Specter Wireless Gaming Grip and Sbase Charging Cradle combination is not too expensive, the price is similar to the XBOX grips when there is no special offer, and it comes with a Hall Joystick as standard, no need to modify and replace it, and it is also very convenient to support multi-platforms and multiple connectivity methods, but what I am more interested in is the exclusive QuickSwap Physical QuickSwap. However, I am more interested in the exclusive QuickSwap physical layout design, which is more versatile for those who have both Xbox (PC) and Switch devices.
The actual feel is slightly longer than the XBOX handgrip, so you need to stretch your fingers more. I tested the Circularity of the left and right mushroom heads through the gamepad tester on the hardwaretester website, and the average error on both sides was 0.4%, which is in line with the official website.
However, if the magnetic top cover is not pressed properly, the hand feeling will be slightly affected due to the slight displacement of the top cover. In addition, the mushroom head will be yellowish under the bright light after a few days of use, which is also a surprise to me, because I personally do not sweat too much and wash my hands a lot, so if you are concerned about the appearance of the mushroom head, you may want to consider purchasing an additional If you are concerned about the mushroom head appearance, you may want to consider purchasing an additional Bteam Spark joystick protector or other means to avoid this problem.
