AVerMedia XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA Dual-Tower Cooler Unboxing and Features Analysis
XPG, the gaming brand of ADATA, is a familiar brand for storage products, and has released many computer components in the past, including the famous Gentle Typhoon VENTO PRO 120 PWM fan, and recently XPG has expanded its product line to the air-cooled cooler market! XPG's first air-cooled MAESTRO PLUS series is available in four heat pipes (42SA) and six heat pipes (62DA), with TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 220W and 250W respectively.
The MAESTRO PLUS 62DA six heatpipe dual-tower air-cooled cooler with a two-year warranty is priced at NT$1,490 and natively supports Intel LGA 1851 and AMD Socket AM5 dual-platforms for the latest generation of motherboards.

△ Product specifications.
△ The main features of the product.
The dimensions of the XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA dual-tower air cooler are 120 x 126 x 160 mm, which means that the height of the air cooler used in the chassis is 160 mm, so make sure that the chassis you are installing is compatible with this height.
The air-cooling unit and fan are already installed at the factory, so all users need to do is to apply thermal paste and install fasteners on the motherboard side to fix them.
The whole tower has an offset design from the side, the body is offset towards the rear of the motherboard in the I/O direction, to avoid memory installation conflicts as much as possible, and at the same time, it can show the light bar effect of the memory modules as much as possible, but the relative disadvantage is that it will block the rear of the motherboard in the shape of the I/O armor.
△ MAESTRO PLUS 62DA is pre-installed with a fan.
The cooling tower height is 160 mm.
△ The fan is fixed with wire.
The cooling fins and heatpipes are blacked out.
XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA utilizes two XPG ARGB 120 mm FDB fans, featuring an average noise level of less than 22 dB(A), fan speeds of 800 ~ 1800 RPM (PWM) ± 10%, a maximum airflow and pressure of 63.62 CFM and 1.39 mmH₂O, and the fan itself is 25 mm in thickness and uses FDB fans. The fan itself is 25mm thick and uses an FDB fan with vibration damping pads on all four corners to avoid resonance problems, but the fan is not provided with a detailed model number.
The two fans are powered by a 4-Pin PWM and a 5v 3-Pin ARGB for lighting setup. The fan lighting supports GIGABYTE, ASRock, ASUS, and MSI software for lighting customization, and the two fans can be connected to the motherboard via special cables that require only one connector each.

△ XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA Dual Tower Air Cooler needs to be connected to one slot each of 4-Pin PWM, 5v 3-Pin ARGB, and USB 2.0 9 Pin on the motherboard.
The top cover of the cooler utilizes a 95 x 126 mm digital display panel, which is powered and controlled by a USB 2.0 9-pin cable that connects to the motherboard slot. Users "must" download AVerMedia's own XPG Prime software onto their system in order for the top panel of the air-cooler to display real-time monitoring of CPU temperature, CPU and RAM usage, and more.
What's surprising is that XPG uses a digital display panel on its first air-cooled product. Compared to the usual conservative strategy for the first product, XPG actually uses a small screen right from the start, and with its own software ecosystem support, you can really do whatever you want.
△ A rectangular digital display panel is used on the top.
△ The top cover is held in place with a magnet.
△ The top screen uses metal contacts for power and control.
△ Remove the top cover behind the panel.
Processor contact surface using six black-plated copper tubes, the contact surface for the "flat" HDT (Heat-Pipe Direct Touch) direct touch heat pipe mode, to contact the CPU IHS for heat conduction, the external surface of the heat pipe using a black-plated surface treatment, after a long period of time to avoid the appearance of oxidation after the impact of the factory when the copper tube direct contact surface with anti-scratch film, on the heat sink. Remember to remove the anti-scratch film on the direct contact surface of the copper tube before applying the thermal paste!
XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA supports Intel LGA115X / 1200 / 1700 / 1851 platforms, and AMD AM3 / AM4 / AM5 platforms, and is compatible with newer processors and platforms.

When installing the AVerMedia XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA dual-tower air-cooler, you don't need to remove the center fan, but you do need to remove the display screen, put the long screwdriver into the left and right holes of the tower, and then align the spring nuts underneath the fasteners to complete the disassembly, which is a great convenience for installation.
However, there is no corresponding screwdriver attached to the accessory, and the common common screwdriver at home can't touch the nut at all. The author went to the hardware store to buy an additional 20 cm long screwdriver to use, and considering that the air cooler itself is 160 mm high, it is recommended to buy a screwdriver that is at least longer than this height, and the direction of the installation plan is good, but it is a shame that it isn't considerate enough! If you want to install it by yourself, we suggest you to make sure you have enough screwdrivers.
△ Stick the long screwdriver through the left and right holes, and purchase the screwdriver yourself.
△ Make sure that the nut is not touched before disassembling.
△ With a height of 33.8 mm XPG LANCER BLADE DDR5 Memory mounted, air-cooled overall with motherboard VRM cooling armor and memory armor space is quite sufficient.
△ With the memory overclocking motherboard top view, the first slot of memory will be covered by about half, if it is a common four-slot motherboard with two memory installed, it should be able to be completely exposed.
ARGB Lighting and Digital Display Panel Actual Demonstration|Introduction of XPG Prime Monitoring Function
One of the features of AVerMedia's XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA dual-tower air-cooled cooler is the digital display panel on the top of the cooler, which shows real-time monitoring of the CPU temperature, CPU and RAM usage after connecting to the motherboard slot with the XPG Prime software and a USB 2.0 9-pin cable.
These real-time monitoring items are fixed and no other monitoring values can be customized, but the CPU TEMP processor temperature can be switched to display in °F Fahrenheit or °C degrees Celsius, depending on the region of use.
△ You need to download XPG Prime software in your system to display it properly.
△ The detected items cannot be changed, but the processor temperature unit can be changed.

XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA Cooler Pros, Cons & Final Verdict
In the past, XPG has launched fans and all-in-one water coolers, but this year, XPG has created a new line of air-cooled tower coolers for the PC DIY market to choose from, providing gamers with stable, easy-to-install, and easy-to-maintain features. The first high-end air-cooled MAESTRO PLUS 62DA comes with a dual-tower body, six HDT direct contact heatpipes, a black-plated exterior, dual ARGB fans, and a digital display panel top cover with ARGB ambient lighting for users to see how their computers are being used. The digital display panel with ARGB ambient lighting is directly in front of the user for instant viewing of the computer and comes with a two-year warranty.
Although it is a dual-tower, dual-fan specification, better display and mounting compatibility is achieved through tower offset. In a common motherboard and memory mounting configuration, the appearance of the memory in slots A2 / B2 can be fully displayed, while the memory in the first slot of A1 may be covered by about half of the memory in the case of a four-module installation.
Practical Matching Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Processor and ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF After testing the motherboard, the XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA performs relatively well, which is in line with the common cooling performance of a dual-tower, six-heat-pipe, and is recommended to be paired with the XPG MAESTRO PLUS 62DA on the installation list. Intel Core Ultra 200 Non-K Series ModelsOr the most. Ultra 7 265K Just load it together and use it.Ultra 9 285K This kind of flagship overclockable processor with more cores is more unaffordable. After the test, the author also reapplied or replaced the coolermaster Ice Fusion V2 (thermal conductivity 5W/m-k) thermal paste, and the cooling performance is more or less the same.
The author suggests that the XPG must be improved is the parts of the accessories, strongly recommended to attach a long screwdriver, so that consumers will be more convenient to install without the need to run out to buy screwdrivers (haha is me), the tower body specially opened up to provide a convenient fixing holes in the idea is very good, but if the thoughtful point of the installation experience will be better!
